RAW: Craft, Commodity, and Capitalism features work from nine contemporary artists exploring the complex and enduring legacy of capitalistic structures, such as slavery, colonialism, industrialization, and their human and environmental impact.

The Body, The Object, The Other, Craft Contemporary’s second clay biennial, examines contemporary ceramic practices that start with the human figure as the basis for material and conceptual experimentation.

Symrin Chawla (c. 1990) is an art director and graphic designer engaged in editorial design, visual identities, printed matter and ephemera. She works intimately with arts and academic institutions, filmmakers, musicians, and creative agencies to develop visuals that are instinctual, sentimental and spirit-led.
She is the host of Ganga Blues on NTS Radio and the founder of Prayer Press, an independent publishing project.
